Laughter No More
by Maria Calderas
I used to be happy,
laughing
and yapping so hard
I was about to crack,
but there came a time
where there was no more laughing.
The sun had faded away
like colors on old construction paper.
The white moon came pushing
the sun way down;
shining its night away
until the morning came
with laughter to greet me....
